Feltételezhető, hogy a körtemplom XII. század végén, esetleg a XIII. század elején épült, elrendezése bizánci hatást mutat.  A XV. században gótikus stílusban bővítették. A XIX. század végén a rotundában rendkívül gazdag középkori falkép együttest találtak.
